Please help me!

My name is Colby. I am interested in getting a 1999-2001 possibly a 2002 Type S TL. I currently drive a 2002 Mazda Millenia black in color. I'm okay with the millenia, I got it for graduation in 2006 and have been driving it ever since. I was shopping for a 99-01 TL back during my senior year in high school but couldn't find one that I liked and then just decided on the millenia because my friend was test driving one and I enjoyed it much. Now I have come to the conclusion that I want another car.
Some questions:
What should I look out for when purchasing a used TL?

I am under the understanding that the warranty for the transmission in these cars is until 109,000 miles. Is that correct?

What other difference in the navigation systems in 99-01 besides Hard Disk based and DVD based?

Are there any difference in Xenon HID lights in the 99-01 model? because in the 99s they look almost halogen and in the 00 and 01 they look more bluish and in the 02 model they look really blueish.....

Does 99-01 models beep when you lock or horn honk?

Sorry for these questions, I'm just wanting knowledge from smart acura minded people before I go and buy one of these cars.

Thanks so much in advance!

Oh, My mom has a 2004 TL without Navigation. It's freaking awesome!

it's a very good choice my friend. try to get an 02-03 type s - you won't regret it. but even if you settle on the 99-01, it's still a tl, which is still better than your mazda.

TL or TL-S is the way to go. The only major problem you have to worry about is the tranny thats it so be careful on the title of the car and make sure it is a clean title in order for Acura to award you the warranty for the tranny

Go with a 02-03 TL Type-S. You won't be disappointed. Either way tho, a 99-01 would still be an upgrade.

yeah, the transmission is my only concern, because the 99s are already out of warranty i think, but does it matter if i bought it from a granny and she only put 50 or 60 something thousand miles and 7 years runs up before i make it to 109,000 to get the transmission replaced? That's really my only concern.....but i love driving my mom's 04 TL but it's a little noisy on the road...and it's got like 73 thousand miles on it, i was wondering is hers still under warranty? what kinda warranty programs were offered in 04?
