Unhappy Please help..

ok..so I went away for a week and my car was home and did not start at all..I tried to turn it on this morning and when it started..it started to rev back and forth between 2000rpm to 1000rpm. It would not stop. After about 10 minutes of revving it my the accelerator it started to rev at 2500 rmp and back and forth to 2000 rpm...when i put the car in drive the rmp does not fall under 1000..it stay at about 1300...i am so sad..now.the check engine light came on..please help.

TRANNY....

Call the dealer and have it towed........

I went to the dealer and they told me it's the Throttle Body..500bucks plus install. Anyone know a good aftermarket one? Can you send me the link..thanks guys

Take it to get it clean it will be cheaper and if it works you save a lot of money. Also it could be a sensor going bad, remember your warranty is probably expired so the dealer is going to do whatever it takes to get you into replace parts that you don't have to.
BTW no way that this is tranny. The car was in idle when it started to do it.

it's no way the tranny, i've clean it and it now works great and i've changed my filter too..thanks Maxx96! I'm wondering if it will come back again...
