What would happen if I simply removed the #6 fuse (ECU)
permanantly? I hate the fact that it learns my driving habits b/c I am always sitting it traffic every morning during the week and am finding that I have to constantly reset it in order to get back the quick acceleration that I want on weekends. OTHERWISE ... is there a way to stop the memorization of driving habits?

I think it would be pretty safe to say that if you removed that fuse for the ECU the car wouldn't even start.

My girfriend's son lost his license (misplaced) and let his insurance laps and he still had plans on driving his Saab. She asked me if I could disable the car to where he couldn't figure it out until all that was cleared up. I just disconected the ECU which is hidden pretty well on the driver's side on the outside wall of the engine bay. The connection is hidden too so it didn't look out of place.

Hopefully he won't read this board; otherwise he will find out what's wrong with his SAAB.

How do you reset your ECU anyways?

I can't say if this applies to OBDII cars or not but I have a OBDI Talon that said just to disconnect the battery for about 20-30 minutes and that should do it.
