Plastidip facelift pics

Used black plastidip to paint my badges, my front grill, and A-zine license plate frame haha. Loved how everything turned out and that if I want it all back to chrome I can just peel it off!

Looks good, but will look MUCH better with cleared and blacked out headlights.

I still haven't decided what route I'm taking with the headlights. More than likely just clear the amber corners. IMO blackhousing on my paint color looks kinda cheap. I'm all about simple and CLEAN.

And the coolest part about plastidip is you can just mask off the area around your emblems, spray 3 coats and peel off and it will stick to the emblems and not the paint. Search youtube for plastidip emblems, trim, even wheels and body panels!! Stuff is awesome!

if you're gonna just clear the corners, your grill would look better without the black plastidip. i think black housing headlights would flow only cause it looks like you're going with a black and white theme.. black emblems.. black grill.. black taillight tint.. etc.

I'm not feeling the 3rd gen TL in the upper right hand corner. nor the type-s down below.

it just throws the clean symmetry off.

IMO, I think you should put eye brows on the headlights

That's the stock 2G TL without the 3.2 attached. It was too long and grandma looking for me.the type S emblem got knocked off and I decided to change it up from stock as subtle as it is I don't think it throws off symmetry. That's how 3G's come.

And I'm still sticking with the OE headlights because I think the blackhouse comes out cheesy on WDP. plus it would effect the light output from my HID's.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Exactly. Black housings will flow better with everything else that has been done. Might as well do the fogs too!

Blacking out the housings also would not affect the output. If you mean tinting the entire headlight, then yes you may lose some output, but the housings only would make no difference. If not flat, then maybe a semi gloss or glossy black or gunmetal to change things up. Subtle change, and it is still shiny!

Just as well, these are just opinions. If you feel it looks better with just cleared, do it. I'd clear and paint my headlights too, but I would prefer to have the clear lens as well.

The red Type-S badge doesn't look good at the current location.

thanks for all the opinions guys, but i would make hot sweet love to my car the way it looks right now, and that's how its gonna have to be.

Im not a fan of the parade of letters acura put in the 5 inch long space on the trunk, and this is the same set up the 3rd gen's come with. If anything I will just remove the TL and type S completely!
