plastic thing under hood

ok you all know how theres a long plastic thing under your hood parralel to your bumper? its actualy kind attached to the frame and is adjacent to your bumper. anyone know what its called, its model #, or where i can get it (other than acura dealer)

is it that long plastic piece kinda on top of the headlights with like pins to hold it down?

yea that little plastic peice is an expenisive little peice of shit.. i had to buy one because it cracked.. its like 50 bucks for a peice that i think does nuthin..... and taking those little plastic bolt clips are a pain in the ass to take off if they are messed up and cost alot for just 1

Yeah, just like all the other plastic crap under the hood now...just to make it look nicer. Especially on the 3G...the whole engine bay is covered in plastic. You spend most of your time pulling all that crap off before you can even get to working on the car.

my dads friend works at a collision place that was bought by piazza ardmore acura and he got me one of these for free. mine was cracked when i bought my car. those snaps are a bitch to get out though. try talking to the collision division of your local acura dealership or snag one off a rear end totalled tl. this piece doesnt have to be mint to do its job
