Plan on racing my TL in a quarter-mile event in 3 weeks. Help with ideas.

There is an import race and show event in 3 weeks in Colorado and I plan to race my '99 TL. Here is a list of mods that are in there right now. Give me some more ideas.

AEM CAI
NEUSPEED SPORT SPRINGS (1.75" FR, 1.75" REAR)
BBS RX 17"s w/NITTO NT450 225/45ZR17s
3A RACING 4" CHROME RESONATING TIPS

Currently I'm between a custom exhaust system or a 75 shot dry NOS kit. Let me know what you think.

I'd go most bang for your buck and go with the NOS, if you're looking to win via ET or MPH.
just don't get crazy and make your engine go BANG!!

imo, you should get the nOs An exhaust gives minimal gains and secondly it attracts the ricers and even more so w/ the cops.

Straight pipe is rice :yack:

NOS is the only way to go. I/H/E combined is not gonna do much, compared to what NOS can give you.

Oh, of course play around with the tire pressure, and launch rpm before you race. Practice your reaction time, and run with minimum fuel level. no more than 1/4 of a tank.

Here's a few tips I've picked up..

Ice your intake manifold and piping. Makes a real difference. After you start the engine try and stage as soon as possible to the engine does not build up heat. as soon as the line hits C on the temp gauge it's good. Shifting up from 1 manually yields better times than SS IMO but it takes a lil control.
Close all your windows...

Oh yea I don't think your 3A tips will help any in the 1320...

AND????

Your car is RWD and I'll smoke you....and yes I'm FWD:p

Having fun is the most important part. If you want power all the time get the headers....If you want a ton of power go for the bottle.........

exhaust is USELESS without headers. you might also want to swap the stock tires back on, if they're lighter than your BBS 17s. bigger wheels are for better handling ONLY! they do not improve your 1/4 mile times. bigger wheel = more metal, less rubber. since rubber weighs less than metal, you might be better off with the stock 16s. again, it depends on the weight - just go for the lgihter one.
