Pink HID Lights

Hi, I have a 2000 TL with about 101,000 miles on it. My friends 2000 has about 70,000 miles but his HIDs are really glowing pinkish. does that mean they are on thier way out? Mine are fine but is there a way to put the newer bluer bulbs in our cars?

Thx

I bet your friend does a lot more night time driving where he needs his lights on all the time. Just pick up a set of used or new D2R bubls and thow them in. If you want, you can also get Philips 6000K bulbs, too. Either one would be fine, do go any hgihter than 6000K, cuz you would just be defeating the purpose of HID.

You can get the bubls from the for sale section on this forum.. its called Black Market now, or even ebay. Expect to by about 100 bux a pair for OEM ones, and 6000K prolly about 260 for a new set.

Thanks I am going to tell my friend. I sure hope mine dont ever turn pink. Never knew that was a side effect for aged HID bulbs.
