Pics. of V1 Hardwired w/Concealed unit

Woot! Here are the pics

Made sure I had everything...

Strip the red wire about 1/2 in. on the direct-wire adaptor. Then flatten the wires a bit and slide it either into the left or right slot in the 30A Fuse (Make sure you pull out the fuse first. There is a pair of fuse removers located in our fuse box under the hood.) After the wires are in the left/right slot, slide the 30A Fuse back in. Connect the black wire to a ground, I chose one of the outside screws as you can see from the pictures.

Pick a spot for the V1. I chose to put it across the tint strip so that way the radar cannot be seen from the outside.

Pick a spot for the concealed unit display. I chose the top of the steering wheel cover. The 3M sticky's provided by V1 didn't stick to well to the plastic so I added a couple drops of super glue.

Thats an awesome install! I think I'll do the same, thanks!!

One question, when you say you mounted the V1 across the tint strip, is it on or just below the strip? When you say cannot be seen from the outside, do you mean from the rear of the vehicle?

No problem..it's just I didn't find a DIY on this site to hardwire a V1 so I thought I would make a easy one

Thanks..this was my first time hardwiring a radar. The radar is mounted right behind the tint strip and when you look from the outside in..you can't tell I have a radar. This was very important to me b/c I had noticed people were taking advantage of *my* radar when I was using it w/the lighter adaptor in my sisters car.
