Good job on the install kman! Your tranny cut out is different than mine. I told ya you'll like it

Actually both me and kman have 4-spd 99 TL tranny. Even it's for 5-spd, you can still make the gauges fit

Just cut out the window to expose the 4-spd tranny indicator. Other than that everything is a direct fit. You may need to enlarge the openings for the needle rests

Tatewaki-

Did you use those same guages.... so basically what your saying is that there is an extra gear guage light that will never turn on right? I'd love for it to fit my 99..... how difficult is it to install?

Thx,
Ryan

99 is 4-spd, the gauges are for 5-spd. The openings on the gauge do not line up properly. Just cut a window and you are set. Here is how my tranny indicator looks like

Tatewaki how does the gauge overlay fit over the existing guages? Do you have to pull the needles off or how else do they fit around them?

No you don't need to remove the needles. You may need pry the needles a bit to avoid clearnace problem

so how do the overlays fit around the needles? Are there tiny slits in the overlays to slide the needle post through?

The overlays have large circular opening at the center to slide it in with the needles in place. There are holes for the needle posts (or needle rests as I call them).
