If you are looking for that HID look then definitely go with the 1700x/1900x series. They are really bright. But the downside is that it burns out pretty quick. I had the 1700x on my TL and it burned out in like 6 months. If you don't mind getting new bulbs every 6 months then go for it. I decided to get something else that will last me for a while. I got their new Solitaire series in Plasma blue. It is not as bright but still bright enough. They are also cheaper. Remember, our HIDs are really bright so no fogs are really going to stand out except for HID fogs themselves. Good luck and let us know what you choose.

I got the Piaa solitare fogs in super white and put them in the fake fog hole.
There not as bright as others but they look great on the car.

I recently replaced my Pilot foglight with a set of PIAA 1900x. They are really nice and they are brighter than most foglights out there. I think that match the HIDs pretty good and they do a good job of lighting up the area right in front of the car.
