PIAA 9006 Yellow ION Fogs (Pics)

I had ordered a set of PIAA 9006 2300K Yellow ION's for my fogs last week. By the time I learned of Blulegends experience with them saying how it appears like a white light standing in front, I had ordered them already. Ahh well....it came in the mail today and I put them on anyway.

They emit a odd light. Standing directly in front, the light does look white with slight yellow rays coming out here and there. But if you stand from the side, it looks yellow. All the while everything is being lit up with a yellow light Strange sh1t I tell ya!

I don't know, I've only had them tonight and I'll have to get a little more time using them before I decide what I think. I like them so far

The PIAAs make the ground too yellow for me while from afar, still appear white. So I just got a pair of $19 APC GoldIon bulbs. Still make the ground yellow, but not too deep and rich to distract my vision at night like teh PIAAs did.

Anyways, everyone has their own taste. I just wish I could have a bulb that would appear yellower. Maybe there are inserts you can put around the bulb without making it too hot that will do the job. I don't like the idea of altering the foglight casing in any way so I guess I'll just stick to the bulbs I have for now.

Heh, funny your the first to see my post. I was going to get those APC $19 yellow bulbs. Did you get them from Autobarn.com? I'll try them when these bulbs go out I guess.

Some one will soon figure out how to get the lights the way we want them. I know Closer painted his bulbs with high temp yellow paint, looks good. Ah well, we'll wait and see what other options we have.

Hmmmm, I'm gonna have a look at my sisters IS300 fogs to check out how it's set up. Yellow filters huh. It's just too cold over here in NYC

The Lexus lights, I'm told, have a yellow lens inside the casing to allow only yellow light through.

Yeah, I got them from Autobarn.com.

Heres another perspective. They are very strange...from afar they are a clean white with a hint of yellow there and just a little bit blue/purple here and there...very negligible. But if you get down and look into the light it is a very yellow

It's growing on me night by night

Bloo TLS, if want blue fog bulbs, your in luck as everyaftermarket bulb out there is blue

The whitebalance on his digital camera pushed it bluer. No biggie.
