if anyone of you who has a 99 TL with comptech headers can tell me what RPM the gears are changing at?. My 1 Gear changes at above 4-5k RPM Same with Second ............Third and Fourth Gear are fine. Also cruising at 80MPH i am at close to 3k -3500 RPM is that normal ??? i know i am being very paranoid but reading everyone else horror stories i rather get a head start on making good friends with the service manager heh ;-). Appreciate any help i can get.

 

Mine upshifts at around 6K rpm pretty consistently in all gears at full throttle.

I'm not positive but I think that at around 80mph, I'm around 2,700 rpm.

 

The shifting RPM depends on the throttle load. If you have it floored all the way down, it will shift very close to redline. But if ur driving normal, it can shift at any RPM.

Cruising at 80 MPH, ur car should be in 4th gear. 3K sounds about right...3.5K sounds a bit much. When crusing at 80MPH, you can't control RPM

 

in auto, im shifting right at redline with my 99 and mods listed below, but in ss i can get the shifts at 7 grand if needed.

 

My car shifts at 7k normally. It always overrevs a little under full throttle.
