Pen on leather seats

My daughter decided to get creative and draw on my leather seats in the car. What can I use to get it out? It must have happened a couple of days ago so the ink is not fresh…

go out and by 3 separate things.

1) Apply the Mother's leather wipes on the seat to remove the ink
2) Mother's leather cleaner to remove whatever's left of the ink, and too give the seat a nice new shine
3) Hold that new shine in with Mother's Leather Conditioner.

That should get the ink out, if not, you may have to go to a professional, or have the dealer work on it.

Good luck.

Mother's Leather wipes will not remove pen.

You need to go seek professional help. Go to a dry cleaner or an upholstery shop. They have chemicals, naptha I believe is one that will remove it. Shouldn't cost too much.

try here

www.stainsafe.com

they make an ink remover for protected leather (what is in our cars) I believe it is acetone based so be very careful as it can damage the protective coating on your leather.

also

Try this -

http://www.youcansave.com/wiz.asp

it's only 10 bucks and worth a shot before you try an acetone based cleaner.

one last time

I checked with a few pro detailing buds and quickly got a response -

Try rubbing alcohol or hairspary (it is the alcohol in the hairspray that gets the ink out I am told) -

use rubbing alcohol and cotton balls or a cloth and blot the ink to get it out.

when it's gone condition the leather as the alcohol will dry it out.

You could also buy some dye color to apply over the stain.
The following company does make dye color matching leather.

A little bit expensive at $55 but you get a professionnal product
and a perfect color matching.
