Alright I've had this problem for a few months now, basically when the car is engaged into reverse, the passegner side view mirror sometimes tilts down like it should and sometimes it doesn't. And the times when it does tilt down, when car is put back into "DRIVE" the mirror tilts all the way back up again aimed at the sky. Somtimes it doesnt even tilt back up at all and remains stuck in the tilt down position.

This is starting to become annoying/frustrating and now even a safety issue when I try to change lanes and all of a sudden notice my rear view mirror is positioned totally off.

I used the search feature and saw other people have had this problem too, but no one posted a solution or fix. I took it to the dealer and they obviously gave me the couldn't replicate it routine a couple of times and then when I finall hopped in and replicated it to them he suggested they change the mirror switch first. Well that didnt help and now they want me to come in again to replicate the problem again.

Somone with a fix or suggestions??? Please ???

Switch off the tilt-down function.

This is not a fix, this is just telling me to put up with or accept it.

take it back to the dealer. since your mirror still tilt, so all the motors are working. it's gonna be a messed up controller I guess.

I don't use this feature since I don't do parallel parking, the mirror moves everytime I go in reverse is annoying.

If you really want to fix it, bring it to the Acura dealer. Looks like the controller has crapped out. They probably have to replace it. I hope your car is still under warranty.

I just bought my TL, mine did this as well. For about a week, the tilt down wouldn't engage. So I tried manually adjusting it, and after that it works again. I thought it was just a hiccup so I didnt worry about it. But after reading this I think i will take it into the dealer to be looked at. I like the feature as I am still learning the car and it is a lot wider/ longer than my previous accord.

They already replaced the switch by the drivers side thinkgin that would solve the problem but that didn't. Now I just called them and they said they will order a new mirror and try to replace that. What is the controller unit you speak of, and where is it? Any info would be appreciated.
