I was about to buy XLR8's brake package for the StopTech drilled and slotted rotors, but I did some shopping around and found much better prices at PartsGeek.com.

The total price for the same exact package from XLR8 was about $125 cheaper (Mostly due to much cheaper shipping). Has anyone ever bought from that website? Should I just place my order with them? I'm kind of surprised at how cheap their stuff is. The total for 4 rotors and 4 sets of pads is about $375 including shipping. XLR8 comes to about $500 with shipping.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks. Mixed reviews with some people complaining about wrong parts. Looks legit enough though.

Because of the reduced price, I was thinking of getting better brake rotors and pads then. I was originally gonna get the Stoptech rotors and pads, but now I'm considering getting the EBC 3GD rotors with EBC Redstuff pads.

Any opinions?

StopTech Pads: http://store.excelerateperformance.c...e/g-61616.aspx

EBC Rotors: http://store.excelerateperformance.c...s/g-63415.aspx
EBC Pads: http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-438324.aspx

It will cost me $100 more for the EBC. I figure $25 extra per wheel is a good deal, assuming the EBC 3GD is better quality.
Does anyone have experience with any of those rotors/pads? From search, I read that EBC pads are good.

Honestly, I would just get the Stoptech rotors and pads. I didn't have a great experience with EBC. Only lasted me about 5000 miles before warping.

But others have had good experience with EBC so it depends on a lot of things. My Brakemotive package right now is amazing. Trouble free after 2000 miles. My previous EBCs would have acted up by now.

Also, have you considered upgrading to Legend dual pistion calipers as well? It's a pretty cheap upgrade if you do the work yourself. I upgraded to Legends, SS lines, and Brakemotives all at once and it made a HUGE difference. I love the setup.

I purchased my two front NSK wheel bearings for my CLS-6 from PartsGeek. Shipping was prompt and had no problems. The local dealer literally had a 100%+ markup on the same bearings.

Thread a little off-topic and not really 2nd-gen TL related. Please open up another thread in Off-Topic > Car Talk ...

Thanks.
