Post parking brake thoughts

I've always been used to having a hand operated parking brake on my last several cars. At first I thought that the foot operated parking brake was a bit out of character for a luxury car but after having it for about 2 months now, it's grown on me . I've realized that it gives the interior a much cleaner and more upscale look plus since you don't have to reach for some stupid release under the dash (like on most trucks), it makes it easier to operate. I guess it was just a matter of getting used to. Now I'm curious where the other luxury car makers, BMW..Lexus, put their parking brake?

ya, we just can't use the parking brake as easily when we want to drive with a more "spirited" nature!

yeah, its really hard to do those rear wheel lock spins Even with practice, I still end up locking the parking brake pedal down.

Yeah... it thought it was weird as well, having the parking brake like that. But like you said... it makes the interior much cleaner.

I believe Mercedes has the same type of parking brake.

Okay, I the parking brake was one of the reason why I got this car. Because I know I will do those 180 E-brake crap. So I thought it is impossible to do with such setup. Damn, I was wrong! I can do all those with the TL. It is tricky, and you have to get use to it. It will lock up every time pretty much. So just have remember to kinda stomp on the thing and get the right timing to release it...

Anywayz, have fun guys... and drive safe. My friend got kinda suprised when they have no idea where my parking brake is while I do the E-brake 180 instead of U turn or 3 point turn......
