Painting the door wood trim on a 2002 TL

Hey Guys,

I wanted to paint the door wood trim on my TL but not sure which sand paper i should use or if sanding it down is even neccessary. Has any one done it before and what grade sand paper did you use and what type of paint? If there is an alternative to paintuing it like a trim kit a url would be very much appreciated as well.

If you have to ask, it might be best to leave that to someone whom has experience... In the TL, you most likely do NOT want your trim pieces lookin' ghetto.

Yea ur rite. I was thinking of taking the pieces off then bringing it to an actual car paint shop....but thats way too much work and money.....hopefully i can fine a trim kit for those pieces...most trim kits dont include that part....

I've done paint work before and even I had a body shop paint them for me. Too much prep work to get the paint to bond.
