Paint jobs for 2003 TL-S

hey guys im a noobie wen it comes to cars so dont flame :P

i was just wondering how much a very good paint job with the very best paint quality is..as we all know the stock paint for the TL's are very crappy..

I talked to my friends dad where his shop can do paint jobs..and he said 800 for very good paint..but 1500 for the best shinest paint... is it just me..or is that way too expensive??? let me know around a good price on what i should pay for a good paint job..

thx guys for ur patience with this noobie

You should check on the process they use. Do they strip the old paint off? Or do they just sand the old paint and use it as a primer? From there, you can compare prices for similar processes and labor.
