has anyone noticed paint problems...like little "dust lumps" in the paint surface...etc?

also...does anyone ever notice a faint whistling sound coming from the vents...that seemst stop when you turng the steering wheel...is it caused by the steering pump (?)

it's called the beginning of "rust" my friend. You better take the car to the dealer, or body shop to have them look at it.

thanks for the response...I've taken it to 4 differen shops (acura and non-acura)...the diagnosis has been literally, dust in the paint...these lumps are the size of a pin head...under the clear cloat...

any other comments would be appreciated...anyone else see the same?

Yep,

I have them on the lower inside area of the door jams at the rear. I noticed it within a few days of getting my car. It must have come from the factory that way. Since the location of these dust lumps are in an area that it can't be seen easily I decided it wasn't worth the bother to take it in to the dealership to have it repaired.

paint is even thinner - on my 02 max I had paint chips come off my hood RIGHT DOWN TO THE METAL!! - three small craters -

I have noticed defects in my paint as well, one looks like about a half inch of fiber embedded in the paint. That and my car had acid rain damage (from delivery car built 07 bought 08) - I am making the dealer repair or repaint.
