paint the interior

hey i have a 2003 ssm tl-s... i was wondering what would be the best spraqy pain that matches that color... i want to paint some of the plastic pieces in the dash.

also, what bulbs would be best to replace the stock fog light bulbs so they match the headlights best and also for the high beams.

any help is appreciated. thanks

Definitely not a DIY job. I am assuming you are painting the wood trim pieces. You need to either strip off the clear coat or sand them down really well so the paint will stick.

My suggestion is to take it to a body shop and have them do it.

to be specific im painting the two doors that open where the cup holders are... the little storage compartment above the radio.... the trimmng around the transmission... and the handle for the glove box... do i just paint them or do i have to apply primer and sand or what? i would rather do it myself then send it to a body shop. im trying to keep cost down to a minimum.

You need to visit an automotive paint shop and get a bonding agent for the parts you are painting. Yes, you can paint it without the agent, but I guarantee you the first time someone drops something on it or scratches it, it's gonna start peeling. You will not be happy.

Not sure if you can buy the bonding agent in small quantities, typically it is sold in very large quantities.

Check out a body shop and see if they might sell you some. Tell them what you want to do. Might be cheaper than you thought to have them do it.

You should be able to get them to shoot the pieces you want for next to nothing. They already have to order the paint for your damage.
