Paint Flex isssue for rear bumper
Last week i had gotten my rear bumper painted (because of a deep scratch) and just got the car back yesterday. Now i know that flex is an additive that allows the paint on the bumper to flex during low impact. All day i noticed that the bumper was about 1-2 shades lighter than the car paint, by the way my car is white dimond pearl. Today i went back to the bodyshop and the guy said that in about a month the color will even out, he said the sun would fix it. Is this true??
Will post pic's as soon as i find the camera

I'm not an expert, but I would assume that if it's mismatched to begin with --- it will never match completely. As the new paint fades with exposure to the sun, the rest of the car will continue doing so as well... so they will both be changing, but at totally different stages from the get-go.
Did the body shop just apply the paint based on the paint code, or did they actually colour match it to the state of the rest of your paint as it is now? Those are two different things.

I'm not expert either, but when my rear bumper (2001 white pearl) was repainted by an expert shop it matched perfectly. That was several months ago and you still can't tell that it was repainted (replaced actually).

White color is especially hard to match when repainting, because white turns yellow with age.

if its fairly noticable to begin with it typically wont ever match. id recomend telling them your dissatisfied and want them to repaint it and try to match it better.
oh and the missmatch has nothing to do with the flex additive, but the guy mixing the paint
