Question Paint chipped

Since the temperature reached mid-40's here yesterday I decided to give my TL a little TLC. The good part was this is the cleanest she has been a few months due to all of the crud on the streets, the bad part was I found several chips on the hood. The largest was probably 1/8" with several smaller ones. What does everyone here do to fix the chips?

unfortunitally there is realy nothing you can do about road chips , there are some cover up options , but it still doesn't look as good, i just recently got my front end repainted, hood , front bumper, and lower valence, cost me about 400 bucks, but shes brand new again, there is a product by 3m that adds like a polymer on top of your paint about 5mm thick and is clear to protect, but i am not quite sure exactly what it is, check out there site!!

Yeah I found about 3 or 4 chips on my car too after a thorough wax...I'm thinking of getting the touch up paint and that Lanka thing to touch it up. I also got a 2 one inch scratch on my bumper. I really don't want to repaint it, just touch up.

Wondering what the rest of u guys do for chips and scratches.

Thumbs up

Hey guys,

I just bought my Acura a week ago and I know what you guys are going thru because the acura I sold had a few chips. What I am going to do in a month is get the 3M leading edge paint guard put on. Go to www.xpel.com and it give you all the information. It is a protective film that goes on part of your hood, all of your bumper and also headlights! Dealers in Virginia swear by it. The package costs about$190. That's nothing compared to added value of your car. Like I said, I am getting this done ASAP while my car is brand new. Also, on the site, they will tell you where there is a authorized dealer who will professionally install it for you. You can do it yourself, but me personally, would rather have it done by a professional. Hopes this helps!
