OWNED an M5!!!
Coming down the straightaway this yuppie in his brand new M5 pulls beside me and starts revving. I am like why not road was clear but there were some curves ahead. We both gunned it, the guy pulled on me a little but when we hit the tight stuff, after the first few curves he was reduced to a dot in my mirrors :smokin: And my TL is 100% stock too.
TL = 1
BMW = 0
TL = 1
BMW = 0

the m5 would spank our cars and spit them out for breakfast lunch and dinner, unless it was driven by somebody who had no clue as how to drive or just plain wasnt trying

you sure it wasn't an 525i? cause thats prob the only 5 series that you would be able to "OWN" maybe keep up with a 540....and would def get smoked by a M5, no matter if he knew how to drive or not, it doesn't take much....he would own u by 2nd gear for sure!
and if you want to keep thinking u owned an M5......enjoy it, but just don't go around telling peops that, cause they will just laugh at you!

(From Road & Track Magazine)
M5: 5.0L V-8; 394HP@6600; 0-60 in 5.0; 0-100 in 11.3; 1/4Mile 13.4@107.8MPH
-MSRP: $69,400
TL-S: 3.2L V-6; 260HP@6100; 0-60 in 6.5; 0-100 in 16.3; 1/4Mile 14.9@95.6MPH
-MSRP: $31,480
Just some nice info to soothe the soul. He owns a TL-S and 2 CBR's that could tear any M5 a new one for close to or less $$.

reduced to a dot in my mirrors
In all respect to "thejavagod" I have to say, "ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY..."
With that being said, one of my Buddies owns a 2002 M5.
I don't care how bad a driver someone is, the raw power and handling capabilities of that car make it easy for even a rookie to smoke any one of our butts in a TL, TL-S, or whatever.
The car is simply awesome and what ALL sedans should aspire to. Of course, it comes along with a $75,000 sticker price.:wow:
The Bimmer could have been a REbadged 525 (Kinda like those A-holes that put Cobra Badges on their Mustangs) with 18's on it or maybe there is another excuse. (Blown piston, it was dragging a refridgerator, the guy was in neutral, etc.) Either way, I have to agree with "GaddAMIT" and say that I wouldn't go around telling people.
Let's all be careful out there... Summer's here, enjoy it!

was it a M-5 or a M5? because the M-5 has like 2million hp so there's NO way you beat that one, but the 2001 and a 1/2 M5 BRADLEY TANK has only 500k horses so you could have stayed with him on a wet road at night(because of our hid's).
I remember once upon a time on my way BACK from vegas i saw a black M-5 going TO vegas so i stepped on it, and all i could see was that bad a$$ car in my rear view....IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!DUDES.
