the outside right rear door handle broke...

...and I can't find a way to disassemble it. I can see two 10mm bolts holding the assy together, but I can't see a clear way to get to the bolt closer to the door's lock. Anyone care to point me in the right direction? It's a 99 TL...

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Have you removed the door panel already?

Yeh, removing the door panel definitely helps, ha...hah !

Those 2 bolts which hold the outer handle on are smaller than 10mm.
With the window up, you'll need to remove some of the misc. rods from the lock and inner handle. So there's a few more screws involved in the process before you can actually remove the exterior handle's retaining bolts. The latch will need to also be loosened up to detach the rods. Take a pic before you tear it apart for reference. Be careful not to bend the rods when working with them. Take your time and it'll all go back together !
