Our car is a looker, right?

I've had my silver TL-S for about 4 months. I keep getting compliments at mall, gas stations, etc. I'm not sure what the auto mag. writers are smoking (they consistently refer to our car as plain), but I've never had a car that gets so much attention

I love the look, but it is nice to be reassured. What do these writers know anyway

The problem with the TL right now is that you can't throw a rock without hitting one. I'm looking forward to the new model, although I won't be buying one (maybe the gen after the next).

That's why we modify our cars!! We went to dinner the other night at a nice place in Newport Beach. My TL-S got parked in front w/ the big boys

Stock TLs are a dime a dozen. Modified.....with Spoilers, Ground effects, lowered, and/or rims are NOT very common.

I've had more compliments on my car in two months than I have had on my Infiniti in the last 7 years.

BTW - Unless a woman is a car buff, she normally cannot tell the difference between one manufacturer or another. All she knows is that is LOOKS GOOD !!)

I had a guy drive up to me at Sam's Club a couple of months ago in a minivan with his wife and kids inside. He asked me, "Is your car lowered?" I proudly said "yes!". He answered back, "Beautiful car." Enough said...even other TL owners in my area, where they are a dime a dozen now, gawk at my car, in one case even speeding up to catch up with me to look at it.

And when I take it to the dealer....the service people trip over each other to drive it to the service bay for an oil change.

I can't even get enough of my own car! Yes, I'd say it's a looker.

Loved the TL when they 1st came out in 99. When they made all the changes in 2002 I got one. I do not think its a head turner, but it is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Very understated, and thats what I like, especially when some dude in a Civic is trying to out accelerate you at a light and you just blow em away. Of course this is some punk kid who does not know what the TL will do.

See, you guys just live in the wrong areas. Since the closest Acura dealer to me is about 80 miles away, I hardly see any. I can go two weeks without seeing one. There's only three that I ever see on a regular basis.

I get compliments all the time. I even got this one girl who thought my TL-S was already tricked out. I told her it's still stock. :p

I live in Seattle and I see a fair share of TLs, but not that many. I rarely see a TL type S, really. I see more A4s and BMW 3 series. And I chose Silver and believe it or not, I rarely see that color. Most Type-S models I see are either WDP or Black.

I was really torn betwen SSM and ABP, but chose silver and am still happy with it.

I get compliments all the time along with the breaking of the neck as people check my car out as I drive by. Recently I've been getting more compliments on my "custom paint job"...I have no idea what they're talking about since the color is the stock ABP...lol

Here is the thing that really pisses me off. I was the very first one in my hood to get the 03 TL-S Anthercite with navi. Now there are 4 other TL-S in the area but no navi or OEM body kit.

If you think your car is a head turner, you must think so are a white pair of socks, a nice new washer and dryer, a new mailbox, a paperclip, and possibly, a bottle of milk (1/2 gallon). The TL is nice but it is bland. And ANY car looks better with 17" rims let alone a body kit.

thats y only modded TLs are lookers...there are too many stock TLs around that ppl just don't notice them anymore...
but after drop or kit or rims, etc it does attract quite a bit of positive attention.

Don't tell me you think a stock lexus gs is a looker? For the most part, stock cars are not lookers. But once modded nicely, any car can be a looker.

BTW, we might look like a 1/2 gallon milk but the gs looks like a full gallon (shape-wise).
