Orientation Party?

I received this postcard in the mail today from the dealer. Anybody ever been to one of these before? What'd you think?

Looks like it could be cool - free gifts!

Are there any Bay Area folks that bought their TL from Acura of Concord recently? Did you receive this?

It's just a ploy to get people into the dealership...

If you purchased your car in the past few months the dealers will invite you. Some have this type of thing all the time. I have been to 3 of them. Most top dealers have them they have the Service Manegers & Techs to answer questions about cars people have purchased. Some have door prizes & free gifts others just free gifts. When I got my TL almost 2yrs ago I went to the party my dealer had. About 35 people that had purchased ACURA cars from them in 2months came. They have food & sodas & answer all your questions. I learned how the Traction Control System worked on the car. Everybody at the party got the little detail kit as a gift. Many people had purchased wheel locks that had not benn put on so the techs did it for them. When I went to one when my sister purchased her minivan back in 1993. They had it in the service area & the techs had different types of cars for the people to go to the model that they had purchased & talk to them about it.
Please go to it they are a good infomation source.

I was invited to one of those when I bought my new 97 Accord. It was quite fun actually. They jack the car up and walk you through the underside, pointing things out.

These events appear to be for complete newbies to Honda automobiles. They explain how to check your oil, operate the intermittent wipers, set the radio stations, etc. In other words, you can learn just as much by reading the manual.
