bought a dropped 99 civic when I was in high school for $3k. That thing was a death trap. Entered the fwy and accelerated to about 70mph started to tokyo drift a little, tried to regain control, ended up in reverse on the fwy at about 40mph with an 18wheeler coming right at me (guy must of thought "what a stupid kid driver"), ended up in the farthest right lane sideways with nose facing the shoulder.

Didn't get a scratch on me thankfully and traffic went around me and ended up blowing a tire because steering wheel locked up from being too low and rubbing. I'll never forget that experience, especially after stepping out of that car and thinking to myself "what the f*** just happened, and im still alive!"

Sold car the same week with new tire of course, and never looked back at owning that gen civic again. Lesson learned.

I thought this would be a good 'first post' for me to break my AZ virginity.

If it helps... I just bought my first Acura yesterday...a 2003 TL-S. It's pearl white, completely unmolested and all original stock. Has good working NAV with a clean LCD even. :p

I only paid 6k for it. Runs like a brand new car. So yeah, $8,000 for that one is robbery. (unless he is a noob at negotiations and expected someone to talk him down to $4500 or something)
