Only 4 PPl with tranny failure

Do you guys notice the SS really suxs now. My automatic chirps but my SS doesn't. It just feels like the SS is catching gears slower. Is anybody else have this problem too?

My tire is still stock hehe probably y it chirps LOL. I got AEM pulleys and CAI, Comptech Headers and exhaust.

well fisrt off your car is over 300hp now so your tires are definitely no match

and you sure you can't chirp the tires with ss? that's very weird. put it in ss, take off vsa, floor the car, tires should chip like crazy! at lesat that's the case for me. and it's for the same no matter i use ss or just plain d5. of course, this is with vsa turn off, otherwise it will suck power away from the tires.....

Are you saying you used to get chirps between shifts? As in from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, etc.? With no engine mods and the tires I have (Mich. Pilot XGT Z4 225/50-17) I've never had any chirping.

The more time that goes by, the more the shifts in SS seem a little "mushy", not as crisp as the used to be. But, as someone who is on their 3rd tranny, I think I'm a little paranoid.

well on the other hand i think my ss shifts a bit better now then it was initially. don't get me wrong, it's still stupidly slow imho.

and yeah, without any major mods (nos??) you can never chirps the car going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3nd i believe?

I've never "chirped" with the old tranny or the new tranny.
I don't think I actually TRIED to chirp.

I must admit, though, I would be a little gun-shy about stressing the tranny. (This whole tranny thing has me looking towards an 04 TL-S, if they look good next year).

I chirp in automatic with the VSA on. In SS no chirping. Stock tires in both cituation. What I meant was if I punch it up to redline. It seems the automatic shifts a little faster than SS. I took my car on a cruise and it feels my auto is faster than SS. I was just curious if anybody feels the same as I do or like Redlined says getting paranoid.

ummm from my experience shifting directly from d1 to d2 etc... is the fastest, with dd in the middle and the automatic being the slowest. you just need practices to find out when is the best time to ****
