I was reading Motor Trend the other day and found something I thought was funny. It was about the Update on the 09 Lexus IS-F. One of the editors had it valet parked, and the valet wouldn't stop talking about it. The editor later saw the valet hand a Scuderia owner his keys and not look back. As far as everyone telling you that you are wasting your time with a TL...

It is the car that is least expected, that does the extraordinary, that is talked about.

Good luck and it looks nice!

internal wastegate. keeping it stock with what it came with. holset turbo btw.

room in a problem. the A/T trans is too big and gets in the way of a couple things.

i dont see an internal wastegate on that turbo....must be clocked downwards.

it looks like your planning to run an external wastegate on that little flange next to the collector?

its on the bottom of the turbo. hard to see. im gonna cap off the external wastegate flange. gonna get and external one once i build my engine and boost more.

still have to cut the pipes a bit so the turbo doesnt sit so far into the fender .

cool.

on my impreza i just locked the internal shut, and ran external....an external allows way better boost control, and is alot better for tuning.

my internal wasnt consistent, sometimes it would open early at 14lbs, other times it would hold until 25lbs.

a Tial is the way to go.

not hating. its just too damn expensive. I dropped 3 grand into it and I ran out of money. Never finished it. It runs, but not like its supposed to.

Have you been having the fmic on the whole time without it hooked up to anything?
