Question which one?

ADR 18" BATTLE EX RIM OR KATANA 18" SPAZIO RIM? also NITTO 555, FALKEN 441 , OR BRIDGESTONE 950'S. all 225/40/ZR18 SAME CLASS. if you were at a show, judging the rims, which do you think you would like more? better yet, be a non-biased judge!

k: if I were judging I'd vote for the Katana's, BUT, aren't they "Knock-offs" of the Lowenharts LD1s?

As for Tires, I'm not a big fan of the Nitto's (too soft and my friend experienced horrible grip on his Type R w/the 555), so I'd say Bridgestone 950s.

those exact ones!? chrome or silver? they are handsome! katana has a full line of quality wheels so they're not "knock-offs" in the true sense of the word. they just look 99% like the ld1's, which i always liked ron from streeteffectz had the ld1's on his tl, still in the gallery. 99 white w/ wings west kit!

If a brake upgrade is in the future, go with ADR. Otherwise Katana. I think it looks silly with 18 or 19" wheels and tiny rotors.
Also, Bridgestones over the Nitto's

Silver, I'm running low on cash, especially with my recent speeding ticket dilema which is costing me close to $800+

I wanted to get the 18x8 LD1s chrome but its too much money (with tires and all the other stuff it comes close to 4Gs), hopefully during my school break I'm going to play with the market if I have some time and see if I can generate some cash from that other than from my job.

Lately I'm not feeling chrome, I want that nice and clean look. I figure if I'm going to go with chrome, then I'll go with nothing but the best.

kman whats the tire package?

also, NY eats the hell out of rims! as for tires, are you going just for summer or all season? you got many choices, and what the hell did you do to get an $800 plus speeding ticket? fleeing to elude?!

I'm in favor of the ADR's...I was never a fan of the Katana rim style.

Well as far as tires I want something with good grip and can handle well in wet weather. I'm going to keep the stock rims and tires for winter. The $800 ticket is the $400 lawyer who is a f***ing a**hole, the $380 fine, the $10 appeal fee...the $25 if my license is going to get suspended then I have to pay the 25 to get it back...and some more money here and there to get this problem/headache to go away.

Other than that, this is my want list for the next month. $300 for two ballasts so I can turn my fogs into HIDs. And I'm thinking about doing the Angel Eyes http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=50156 The installation is what will cost me the most maybe Ron at SE can do it.

Thumbs down both rims have bending issues!

i found out the katana's & ADR's bend more easily than the lips on other rims! the hunt is still on! pain in the A$$!

i have a set of katana's (monsoon knock-off) with nitto 555's on 18". the knock-off's are only 18x7.5 not 18x8. but 225's should fit easily. i have these rims and tires on a 240sx so i don't know how they would ride on a tl.

also, a new set of 18" tires would cost just a little less than a new set of rims and tires. i paid $1100 for the above tires and rims and about $750 for new tires when the old ones wore out.

19"'s are cool but tires for them are $$$.
