Older BMW convertible and me!

I'm on my way to work and I pull up at a light. I noticed this older BMW convertible, definitely 3 series, in my rear view then switching lanes to get next to me. I wouldn't have really noticed him or cared for that matter, but he starts to rev his engine over and over again. I look over and this guy is about 20 and I can see him looking at me out the corner of my eye. Light hits green so I say why not. I spun a little bit (I forgot to turn VSA off) and took off. I chirped into second and was ahead of him by 5 car lengths when I shifted into third. I was laughing, since I thought he'd give me more of a challenge. I think he had exhaust and who knows what else. He pulls up next light, but he refuses to look at me. I thought ok he learned his lesson, but not a second later he starts to rev even more. I took VSA off, and then thought...nah waste of gas. He took off and I just laughed. Some fun before my workday!

Is it true? You get less spinning with VSA off?

No... you're not going to get less spinning. However... the spinning is better than the ignition retardation and possible upshift that can occur with VSA on.
