Okay, the new Altima is too fast! 0-60 in 5.9seconds

I know that this post is off topic but, I just saw Motorweek and was sooooooooooooo astonished by the 0-60mph in 5.9sec. They had tested a V6 3.5L Altima with a 5spd manual tranny.

I've never really like Nissan/Infiniti very much; though, this road test was a complete surprise!

0-60 in 5.9 sec, 1/4mile in 14.2sec. I mean, isn't that close to M3 or Lancer Evo territory?

I do realize that most people (say retired folks as prime example) aren't interested in how quick their Mercedes or BMW can go from 0-60mph. I do wonder though, if you smoke them with the TL-S or Altima V6, how bad would the Mercedes/BMW owner feel?

Yeah

Those numbers are bogus. We've seen them before. Real time is 6.23

I was at the Nissan dealer last night picking my brother up as he dropped his Max SE off for service and noticed that they were charging a $2000 Adjusted Market Value (AMV) on the manual 3.5L Altimas. It pushed the price to above $30K, which is more than what you pay for a 2002 TL-S now.

The only AMV I thought might be worth paying was the $10K one I saw on the 2000 Alex Zenardi Edition NSX.

You all know its OT and acknowledge that fact, yet you post anyway???

The last few Altima threads were moved once they went totally off tangent and turned to sh%^#, if you want to continue them, go to OT
