I am going in the mourning Friday to have the sides re-tinted on my car. I had to take it off to pass thru D.C. inspection. Just as I was typing this they called me to change my day. I wil go on Wed now. I think 35% is the best looking tint get that all around if you can.

IMO I'd go with the same % all the way around. Makes the car look very clean. Even though the difference between 20% & 35% is minimal, I'd go with 35% on all windows.
There's just something about the way even-ness looks.

Yeah go for the 35% on the sides and 20% in the rear. I went with 35% around when I got my car tinted cause my brain decided to take the day off that day. I had 35/side and 20rear on my 300ZX and that was perfect IMO.
However, if you live and drive in the boonies where it's very dark, not really a big difference but it will be harder to see out the rear window when backing up. Only annoying when raining cause you won't want to stick your head out the window.

On Tuesday I am getting 15% charcoal with metallic. I was debating on 5% all dye charcoal or the 15% slightly metallic. I decided it was better to have some metallic so that more UV will be reflected and it won't fade as fast, plus it will make night driving easier. I am getting my old tint stripped and the new tint put on for $170.

I have 19% back and back side windows, 28% front side windows. IMHO this is a very good combination. You have dark tint to block out a good portion of sun during the day. At night, it's not so dark (28%) that it'll hinder your side vision or make things too dark to see. My fiancee has 20% all around on her M3 and I can't stand driving her car at night.
I went with solargard quantum. The guy that put my tint on did an excellent job. Costed 150 bones though. He had an enclosed garage to keep the lint down to a minimum. Avoid those half azz street shops that'll do it for $100 or less. They'll f*** up your tint with bubbles, lint traps and cut rubber trims.
Hope this helps.
