Question OIL and OIL Filters

I recently purchased a new silver Acura TL Type S. One hell of a sweet machine. I practically emptied out my bank account to pick her up and give her a new home! Well, at this point she only has 2500 miles on her. I would like to do the oil and filter maintenance myself, as I have always done my own oil changes on my vehicles. I think I'm going to stick with dino oil until 10,000 miles where I'll probably switch over to synthetic.

Which brand of oil (5w-20) is best for the TL Type S? I have always stuck with PENZOIL. What do you think/use? When should I do my first oil change? 3000 miles? 3700 miles?

As far as oil filters go, I know using the acura oil filter is best...but which oil filter should I stick with that is available at a local PEP BOYS or K-MART?

Thanks.

I am currently driving a 94' Talon and on the Diamond Star Motors site there is a link to a rather extensive article about this no mater what kind of car you drive. Here's the link.

I was using Fram oil filters for a very long time only to find out it is one of the worst ones out there. NAPA's are decent but I did find that WIX is one of the better ones
