Question Ohio TLS Prices!

I talked with a dealer yesterday and the sales person told me that they are only accepting MSRP for the TLS! Has anyone in Ohio (or surrounding states) gotten better deals lately?

I'm at the point now where I'm willing to drive / fly to another dealer to get the price I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Got my non Nav TLS for $29,300 from Nalley Acura in Georgia. Know of a couple other folks who puchased TLS with nav for $31,300 from Nalley. Angela Garland is the internet sales manager and is great to work with. May be worth a plane ticket to Atlanta.

Man, I don't get it. It seems the closer you are to where it's made(Marysville, Ohio), the more it cost's! The cheapest prices seem to be all the way out at the west coast. Good luck man.
FYI. Paid $31,600 in NYC w/Nav.

I am getting (picking up) my tls (non-navi) this week from an OH dealer for below 30K including dest. As soon as I pick it up, I will post the details.

Sorry for the lack of details right now. I want to make sure all goes as planned before reporting on it.

Has anyone on this board purchased a TL-S in Columbus, OH? If so, what kind of deal did you get?

Smile Not TLS, but a reference none the less

I just purchased my 01 CL-S (no NAV) two weeks ago from Acura of Columbus... $29k+TT (tax, and title.) Go figure, I just got an email today from Lindsay Acura... $28,250. It's just my luck. But, I'm very happy with the car, for the price I paid just the same. I tried to beat on them for a TL-S, they wouldn't budge under $31,200 (no NAV.) Seems they are the "hot ticket" in Columbus as of now. Good Luck in your ventures.....

Jim

I paid sticker in March for the first TL-S in Dayton. I ordered it last August (2000).

Honestly Acura columbus ,and lindsay Acura Suck!!!! They are sticking to their prices at a little under msrp. I was gonna trade my 99 tl in with 20 thousand miles and they offered me 20,000. I laughed right in the salesmans face. I am going to wait 5 or 6 months and then the prices will come down to what I want to pay . The quote I got for a wdp tl-s no nav was 32,000 with a body kit. I got that quote from acura columbus.

Good luck finding a good deal!!!

Agreed. I just got my initial survey from Acura today. The one thing I posted as "not very satisfied" was the negotiation price. I told them I felt I paid a bit too much for the car, but still like it just the same. Granted, If I would have played "hard ball" a bit more (of which I should have), I know they would have come down to my price of $28k. The way I looked at it was, this one's a keeper. Another grand isn't going to break me. Not that I've got spare cash to throw in the street, but I was mezmorized by this car.

Oh well.....

Thanks for the advice. I've talked to both acura of columbus and lindsey and they aren't taking anything less than sticker for a TL-S. I too will wait until they are willing to deal!

A non-nav TL-S with a body kit for $32k is ridiculous based on the price people are paying out West. For crying out loud, the cars are made an hour from house and they are cheaper to purchase 2000 miles away!!

Mackdaddy - congrats on your new CL-S, I will look for you around Westerville.

We paid 31000 for a non-nav in June at Acura Columbus - Motorcars Cleveland and Park in Akron didn't have stock, nor could they tell me when they would.

Acura Columbus had 16 TLS on the lot, so we drove to Columbus to ink the deal. Cindy Wright was very nice and professional, but wasn't willing to go lower on the price (probably because they don't have to).

Did we pay too much? Probably, but based on feedback from MI, IL and PA, we got the going price. I wasn't willing to fly out west to save $1000, then have to drive all the way back to OH.

Hopefully, the prices will moderate in the coming months, but it seems that demand in the midwest far outstrips supply.

Good thing you're not looking for an MDX - they wanted over sticker for those.

TLs and Accords are made in Marysville, OH - approx 20 miles NW from Acura Columbus in Dublin.

Honda employs almost 8,000 at the Marysville campus. I think they also build motorcycles here, too.

Honestly I feel it is gonna be very hard to wheel and deal at any Honda or Acura lot in Columbus. I mean if you look around all you see is Hondas and Acuras all over the rd . The Acura dealers have you over a barrel because they know if you dont buy the car they will have some other schmuck come in and be happy to pay msrp or over msrp.

I honestly can say Lindsay Acura has a Damn good parts dept. They are the best. I walked in a few weeks ago trying to buy some touch up paint and they gave it to me free of charge . I know its not much but to me that shows you care about your customers. I now get all the parts I want at a discount price because the mgr likes dealing with repeat customers. I bought my oem kit from Lindsay for 800 while Acura Columbus wanted 950.00. I guess it pays to shop around .

Yesterday I spent some time using the 'acquire' feature on acura.com to send out emails to dealers in Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, and Columbus. I only got ONE response! These Ohio dealers must really want to sell cars!

Al Bangash from Lindsay Acura quoted me 31,150 for a TLS. I told him I was looking to be in the neighborhood of 30,000, including destination. That's about 5% over invoice. He never got back to me. I'm trying to be patient to see what else will come back, but I WANT THIS CAR!

Thumbs up YES!

Looks like I'll be the proud owner of a Satin Silver TLS!!!

Park Acura came through. I got them to agree to $30,250 + tax and title!

I'm giving my deposit tomorrow with the Satin Silver due in by the end of the month!
