OEM Body Kit or Springs & Sways???

I have a 02 type S NightHawk Black, what would give the car the more aggressive look, the OEM body kit, or the Comptech springs and sways, I only have enough money to do either or so please do not suggest both as I cannot afford it as yet!!!
Thank You

I'd go withthe springs & sways. With the suspension upgrade, you'd be enjoying it everytime you are driving the car...while the bodykit can only be enjoyed when viewed outside. You can also consider the spring & sway combo as an added safety measure.

Edgalang makes a good point. However, we just got our 03 DWP TLS a few weeks ago and just got the OEM body kit last week. All I can say is WOW! It really changes (improves) the cars appearance more than I thought it would. I had always believed that the only real drawback to the TLS was it's rather bland looks but the OEM body kit changed all of that! Now I find myself constantly looking back to admire it's looks as I'm walking away from parking it.

Thumbs up Drop vs Kit

Drop it and sway's! With only the kit it still looks like a 4x4.

In this order...
Sways
Springs
Body Kit

Why? It's great if your car looks good...but if there's nothing under the look then...so what. I'd rather be a sleeper...have someone get in expecting an average ride...and be able to pull totally controlled 360's with no body roll like I have been for the last week with sways.

Sways help more than springs...I can attest to that...at least the sways I got Much better than Comptech or Eibach.

I would just get sways, and add the body kit.
The sways will get you the increased handling in the twisties.
The body kit will give you a fantastic look (I really wish the CL had a kit available).

The springs will lower you a bit, but if you go with comptec only you will really notice the 1 - 1.5 inch drop. Its not really that much and only another auto enthusiast who knows Acuras would even notice. The springs will also kill your current luxo ride feeling, if that is important to you.

Sways - Made a huge difference in handling, no ride penalty
Springs - Made another nice increase in handling, not as much as the sways imo. Ride penalty, 25% stiffer than stock.
Body Kit - Strictly aesthetics.

If you are only after looks go with the kit or springs.

If you want handling go with the sways or handling/looks go with the springs.

I was thinking the same thing: Kit or Springs+Sways.

I went with the Kit. Trust me. The kit will totally give your car a whole new look. Get the kit. Get the kit.

I hope to be getting the springs+sways within the next few weeks as well. Couldn't resist.

Doesn't matter which order you get them. Eventually you gonna get the kit, springs and sways just like me.

If i were u, i would get the sway and springs since they are actually useful. But the body kit makes the car look soooooo fine. I wish they have a body kit for the CLs.

Think of it this way...

1) How do you drive? Do you drive fast? Do you take turns fast? Or you want to take them faster?

If you answer yes, then buy the springs and sways. Instead of sways, I would recommed buying springs and shocks first.

2) Do you want to have a TL that looks better than most of the other stock TLs? Do you want this look more than having a funner car to drive?

If you answer yes, then buy the kit.

Personally, I would rather have a TL that can perform better. Good luck man.

IMO
I THINK THE TL-S SHOULD HAVE CAME W/THE KIT AS A WAY TO DISTINGUISH THE DIFFRENTS BETWEEN THE TL-S & TL-P

Get the body Kit first

I got the spoiler and body kit w/ the purchase of the my SSM 02 TLS NAV. Yeah I paid a little more for my kit, but f*ck it, it's rolled into my financing now and not just straight cash money later....the cash money I have now is for upgrades I can't buy from the dealer.......

I love the body kit.

I always find myself (like DHB) looking over my shoulder at my car walking back into work.....

....the ladies and mere honda mortals will notice the body kit much more than the sways and springs.....a non kit TL doesn't get a fraction of the double takes that my kit TL does....we were in chapel hill last night (UNC, more ass that you can litteraly shake a stick at) and so many betty's were givin me and my ride double takes....it really transforms the car into a more sporty look altogether.....oh yeah and the body kit hides my NON painted Y-pipe well

get the kit
then get the sways, Neuspeed
then get the springs.

that what I'm gonna do.

anybody, how much ride penalty does the springs actually make??? Comptech or H&R????????????

peace

Get the kit, totally changes the appearance of the TLS. Much more sporty-aggressive looking!
