Exclamation OBX install !pain in the butt news for me good news for you?!

well, got up to my acura master tech's place to get the header installed, and we discovered , unknown to me , that the guy who installed my magnaflow cat-back exhaust and hi-flow cat converter cut the gasket flange off the original down pipe and welded the aftermkt converter right to the pipe , leaving no room for flexibility!!! unbelievable!!! so, my tech is going to keep the header and adapt a new neck, and next monday will be the day!!!! the good news is he was very impressed with the build quality! he said all the hand welds looked great, comptech is computerized. he liked what he saw alot! i said let's get in on the car then we'll see! at least he put my new burlwood steering wheel on in like 15 minutes! any dealer that charges you more than a half hour is ripping you off! pic of my burlywood wheel! sorry guys, gotta wait a week! nobody's more bummed than me! kman

Good luck next monday!

Comptech welds are done totally by hand, by incredibly experienced welders. Oh and they're TIG welded, not MIG welded. Hold up much stronger.

Here is what happens when you pay $300 for headers.

obx is tig welded by hand, unless i'm missing something? the guy missed a weld obviously!, computerized system comptech, build line, blueprints, etc...like idiot proof! not saying a computer welds the headers...
