"This is not an ash tray" wont close

Hello I have a problem closing the "This is not an ash tray" bin in the center console. It wont shut.

And when I move it up and down I can hear something like a dim dangling inside, so what can I do to fix the problem?
Should I take it to the dealer

Coin stuck prolly. You have to remove the whole console in order to get to it.

I have the problem with a coin all the time. There is also a little spring like flipper inside there, that may be whats dangling, mine(spring) came out all together.

Sounds like a coin got stuck back there. You can either take a flat head screw driver or old piece of coat hanger and wiggle it around back there or you have to remove the console to clean the coin/s out. (that only takes 5 min to do)

are there any instructions on how to do that? or is it difficult to figure out by myself.
The only tool I have access to is a set of screw drivers >_<

when you fix it be careful not to overfill your coin holder. i did that and a penny fell into my cigarette lighter and kept blowing the fuse for my stereo and the lighting in the console around the stereo. I took my whole dash board between the seats apart to see what was going on. though it would be a burned wire or something. until i put it all back and decided to take it to the dealer. when i was putting it in i glanced in the cigarette lighter and saw the melted penny. i went through like 5 or 6 fuses. lol

Umm, What I found out was that the "Not and ashtray tray" is held by two springs. I think they are either broken or stuck, so it doesn't fully close.

What should I do, I already have my console taken apart
