Nosemask In The Snowy Winter

For all the people that have experience with an OEM nosemask in the snowy winter, I would like to know if it causes any damage to the paint if water gets between the mask and the car and then freezes. I will be taking a trip to NY in December and was wondering if leaving the mask on throughout the trip is a good idea. Any input?

Well, I have the OEM mask but I only only use the hood portion. In addition I only use the OEM mask when it's nice out. I never leave it on when it rains or is raining... and I never put it on if the car is wet or dirty.... especially in the winter with the salt and everything....

vandy,

Make sure you have a good coat of wax on it before you put the full bra on. It won't hurt to leave it on for several days on your trip. If you don't have the time or place to properly take it off, it will be ok until you get back home and can properly clean it. I drive up to PA at Christmas time and have done this on my cars for over 15 years without any damage.
