Nose Mask just payed for itself.....5 X OVER!

Was driving down the freeway today. Always have on my nose mask unless I am going out at night or something. Anyways a car in front of squarely ran over a 2' x 3' piece of particle board. It stood up on end and I blew through it doing like 80. couldnt avoid it. I just shredded it into a thousand pieces. Immediately I got that sick feeling in my stomach. (dont we all?) I got to work and took off the mask and their was only some very minor damage. I have no doubt that if I did not have it on it wouldve been time for bumper replacement.
Moral of the story is.....I know it doesnt always look the greatest, but use you nose mask!

Those masks are great and due to all the highway driving I do, they have saved all my vehicles front ends. In fact. my 1992 Accord with over 200,000 miles, still had a relatively damage free hood.

Why bother? A nosemask is a lot cheaper and it gets the job done. And I don't think they look too bad, specially if you have a light colored car.

Three very simple reasons...first, because when going down the highway the nose mask will flap and beat again the hood, causing wear over time, wearing off the clear coat, and dulling the paint.

Second, whenever you go over dirty areas, or hit a patch of dust, tiny dirt particles will get under the nose mask and into the inside of the material...and if the material itself hasn't scratched the hood of the car, you can sure bet that the dirt will

Third, I think it looks ugly as hell. Hope I explained why to bother

Wow that was a very hard moral to figure out...

Xpel is cool stuff..they sent me a free-t shirt..very cool. If you don't want it on your hood, at least get it for your very expensive headlight housings..
