Post In NOS we trust!

Just got back from the street races. I raced a 2000 3.8L Mustang. He said that all he had was intake, exhaust, and new tires. He had a big STEEDA banner on the front of his car and a huge smile on his face so I knew right there that he was bullshitting. So when he asked me what I had I told him just intake, exhaust, and pulleys. When we raced, I sprayed in first gear, so I had no traction whatsoever from the start, he won by a car length(his tail to my nose). Second race same thing. So on the third race I decided to start spraying in second gear. You should have seen the look on that kid's face. He looked like he'd just seen a ghost! When we stopped back at the gas station where we met up, he asked to see my engine and found my NOS setup. That's when he told me that he was spraying too!. Then he made seceral excuses why he lost the third time. He first told me that the reason he lost was because he didn't spray. Then he said that he mis-shifted because of his new shift kit. That's when I looked in his interior and saw that he had an automatic! Mis-shifted my AZZ! He can deny it all he wants, but in my opinion, Imports 1, Domestics 0.

nice! I raced with my friend's V8 mustang with automatic, and lost by about 2 car lengths by the time I hit 80 MPH. we have no performance mods at all, it's pure stock VS pure stock.

Question for you [VTEC]TL

Have you made any mods to the transmission to allow for the NOS? And or to the engine?

Also, have you had any adverse effects from the AEM pullies? Such as alternator charging rates, lights dimming at night or???

I raced a mustang once. I gave him a second head start and still burned him. I ended up flying over a median and doing $5k worth of damage to the underside of the car.

Do you have a wet or a dry kit? Do you have purging capabilities?

Guess what I just found out. That guy was a friend of somebody I knew. I talked to him and found out that the kid with the stang was spraying a 100 shot if not more. That little BS'er.
He was so full of shit. 50 shot my AZZ!

I have no internal engine or tranny mods in addition to my NOS. My car seems to be holding up pretty well. Our J-Block can withstand more than a 70 shot. The TL guys on this board with NOS are running around 70-80 shot. I wouldn't recommend going over a 100 shot on a stock engine, but I've seen a stock CL-S at Moroso dragstrip spraying a 100 shot of NOS. He ran a 13.8. He only sprays on the dragstrip though, so he doesn't use his NOS very much at all.

In regards to my pulleys, no adverse effects as of yet and I even have a 600 watt sound system in my trunk, knock on wood.

most NOS with a small shot are dry kit. wet kits are for like funny cars that give them 500 hp gain.
