Nos?

Does anybody have NOS on their TL here?
I've seen a few 50state legal NOS kits out there that seem like they would fit a TL, and it would be cool, but I think I'm underestimating how much of a pain it would be just to have a TL-S that puts out 370 hp. . . lol.
And i'd have to go out of town about 45minutes just to get the bottles filled. Even if i were to put NOS on it, that wouldn't happen for another 3-5 years. . . haha.

But i think i would like to put some kind of cool air intake on my TL if it's worth it. I really don't know what i'm talking about, so i don't know what kind would make the best difference in my car w/o too much trouble installing it.

Well I am not sure about 50 state legal NOS.. I have never heard of NOS being legal in any state except for off road use only.. But NOS is a great way to burn that motor up in 1 year. The cold air intake is a good idea and very easy to install. AEM V2 is a good one or I would go with the Comptech Icebox.... Both very easy to install... But I would say stay away from NOS it is to addicting and does to much damage to your motor...

Installing a nitrous kit properly could be a bit laborious...joecoool here has one and it is a custom install that is way sweet. It gets pricey though--more than $1,000 for something small and done right...
Nitrous just isn't for me anyway in the long run. But to each his own...

Ok thanks. i heard the same thing about superchargers tearing your engine up easily too. . . lol.
But Holley advertises that they've got a few 50-state legal kits. I thought it sounded strange too, and i'm still not sure, but who knows. There's a guy a few blocks away from me that has a Civic w/ NOS. . .it's cherry scented too. lol.

i love my nos set up.. it cost 750 dollars installed from a local shop that does real good work, and you could even find somebody to do it cheaper than that.. i barely ever spray my car, but have had the kit for over a year, and had no problems... i agree nos could be addicting, but if you have half a brain, you will not have a problem only using it when you need it.. i have not found the nos laws, but i cant imagine it being legal anywhere. even though i have heard rumors like, if you have a nos sticker on your car, its ok to have it.. i dont believe that though.. i spray a 75 shot, and my performance "people" told me thats completely safe as long as i upgraded my spark plugs. 45 minutes is a long way to fill a bottle, but i fill mine about every 2 months, at least... so its probably not that bad.

If you do it "right", it won't. Just like nitrous, just like a turbo, etc...Any car is going to have issues with FI over time if it wasn't designed that way in the first place, but you limit your liability by getting it done right. There is nothing wrong with the Comptech sc kit just like there is nothing wrong with superballs and his nitrous...
Now if you started saying you wanted to spray a 250shot on a regular basis, that isn't right...

NOS is definitally not 50 state legal....in California the last car that is NOS legal is a Dodge Viper..i think the last year was 1995 or 1998 (not sure which year)....still not sure why you would need NOS on a Viper???? but i guess if you can afford that car, why not huh!

Beside there is no way the tranny would hold up that much horsepower....it cant handle the 260 hp right now!!

Superballs...nice pics
