Dont run it through a normal carwash. Just wash it yourself and dont worry about drying it. Just wash it and let it be.

you won't rub it into the paint so long as you spray the car properly before any material touches the body. All you need to do is rinse the car amazingly well before you use a wool mit to clean it. This ensures that you're not cleaning the car with salt.

Don't do it unless you feel like signing a death warrant. That's thousands of dollars in repairs.

If you own a pressurizer, you can blow the pipes right after you wash, but it's too much a risk.

I live about 25 minutes from you and there is a place in Stirling/Gillette on Springfield Ave. that has those big pressure guns. They also have the same thing that does it mechanically while you sit in the car and watch.

Stay away from touchless

they are touchless for a reason - they use really high concentrations of cleaner to get the car clean. So high it will pretty much eat off any wax you have on your car. Best best for the winter if you cannot use your own is to go to one of those 25cent places with the pressure wash bays. Winters can be harsh but avoid anything other than using the water to spray off the car. Their soap is just as concentrated. If you have a garage you can use - spray you car down well to get off the hunks of black snow grime and salt. Then once you have it sprayed down (use the full time with the high pressure rinse only).

Take it home and put it in the garage (if you have one - if not and the wash place is not busy) - mist the car with a good quick detailer and wipe dry with a good Microfiber towel (I use lots of like 5 or 6). The drive home should blow off most of the water and the QD and MF will get the rest off.
