No Rear Passenger Door Courtesy Lights and Pockets?
Why didn't Acura offer rear passenger door courtesy lights and pockets so that my rear seat passengers could see what they're stepping on when they get out of my car at night...
My 2000 Accord has them.

i agree, i'm missing them too.
in my accord, i put in higher wattage/brighter lights and now the passengers can see what they are stepping on.
i'm more and more dissatisfied with my car as the days go by.

Some of us that have been on this forum for a while & came from the old old ACURA TL board & other ACURA forum have the answer to this. When ACURA redesigned the 1999 TL they took some stuff out. The 1999 TL was $5,000 cheaper in cost then a 1998 model TL. The rear door lights some how was part of the cost cutting to make it cheaper. Some others have said that the leather quality also was made cheaper than a 1998 TL model. I had the rear door lights on my 1994 ACCORD EX SEDAN.

Yes...I would like to add the rear door courtesy lights too! Can anyone please post the procedures and the parts required? Should I just go to a Honda dealership and buy the rear door courtesy lights for a 98-02 Accord? Do you think the wiring for the courtesy lights might already be inside the door, since the Accord and TL probably used the same wiring looms?
Thanks in advance.

Actually, I think the 98-02 Accord has nicer leather. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 98-02 V6 Accord has full leather seats (i.e. the seating surfaces as well as the side of the seats), where as the 99-03 TL-P only has leather in the middle of the seat - the sides are just vinyl.
So, has anyone taken apart the rear doors and see whether there are any wiring for the courtesy lights?
