TATEWAKI 1st did this, and posted pics and

instructions on the boards like 2 weeks ago!? just do a quick search and his posts will be right there! he did a great job! the white face gauges are for a 2000 tl and up but with a slight mod as you will see in his posts , they work on our 99's! now mind you , this is not an easy one as you will see from the posts, due to a nasty bike accident 2 weeks ago i don't have much dexterity in my left hand and one shoulder, so i'm not even going to break open the helms manual for this one! i will be having my tech put them in! tatewaki did it, and it took him 2 days! so it is time intensive for a DIY project, but as you can see from his pics TOTALLY worth it! even if you have to pay to have it done, it won't take a pro that long, no offense to tatewaki, but an acura tech can do it fairly in 2-3 hours, maybe less. the gauges are like $60.00! www.procarparts.com kman, keep you posted, they should be installed in about a week.

they look ghetto because the font and colors dont match the Type S guages, the needle will still be the TL-P style with the big black circle in the center of the needle, the build quality is not up to par with the Type S gauges either. plus personally, indiglo gauges are ricey as hell, i would have just gone withi a Type S...or at least got the Type S guages if you want to upgrade

Exclamation dude, read this carefully!

they are not type-s gauges! they are the white face 2000tl gauges that change 6 diff colors if you want? ( reverse indiglo ) they will fit on a 99 tl. type-s gauges will not fit!!!! i have been looking into a black dash/gauge cluster for 4 years! so regardless of your personal pref, or indiglos being rice, which i disagree, they look great! that's why all the new upscale cars have some form of reverse lit gauges! i am finally going to able to see my gauges! the 99's are awful and dark, so for me it's a no brainer! nate's been having those of us 99 TL'rs without gauges drool for like a year already, since he first did the group indiglo buy!!! kman

I had indiglos in my 99 Accord. They were cool.
I love the aluminum ones in my TL-S though.
Will those fit in a non-Type-S?

TL-S gauge will NOT fit 99 TL.....PERIOD.....If you don't believe me, buy 1 set off this site and try it yourself. It took me two days since I did the blue LED interior at the same time. I also spent half a day to fix needles clearance problem. Here is my original post.

http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...hlight=Indiglo

The gauge light can last pretty long. They are EL and are quoted to last ~4 years if lit continuously. I'd have sold my car well before that burn time. If it's more than that, it'll be 40% dimmer, it will not completely go out

Also these gauges will only fit non TL-S. So you TL-S owners can enjoy your silver face yellow-light-lit gauge, while we TL-P owners get the indiglo. See how the universe is balanced?
