Post no manual for the tl :(

the reason that the nex tl's cant come in manual is cause vtec you may notice that no accord coupes (new v-6) can come in manual thats cause of vtec for some stupid reason it just wont work.

No V-6 = no manual might be b/c of power handling of the manual tranny. I assume that the NSX tranny can't be fitted to the global midsize platform w/o expensive modification. VTEC shouldn't have anything to do with it, except being equated to higher power on the V-6.

That's the real rub - expense. Honda's smart enough to know they are losing a few sales due to the lack of a stick, but I'm sure the cost outweighs the benefits.

At least, that's my best guess...

No, that's not it... Transmissions are designed with limitations...that's why there are so many out there...I would think that the NSX transmission could be retrofitted to fit the TL, IMO..

it's a pure marketing move. They know that 99% of 4 dr sedans in N.America are sold with auto trannies cause the public wants it that way. Honda doesn't want to go through the expense of producing a manual TL and the additional cost of inventory.

Question

Eskimo is right, they are smart. By not have any of the V6 engines with standard tranny's they can save $ on parts. Also, I wonder if the GS 6-spd tranny would fit our car. It is a 3.2 V6 with 230 HP, it can hold the HP of the TL with out a doubt. I am curious, the only difference is that the Legend engine does not have VTEC, but that does not matter, does anyone know if it would fit??
thoughts??
