Newbie with some questions
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, and have some questions... I'll be in the market to get either a 2001-2003 CL-S of a 1999-2002 TL/TL-S in the spring. Right now I've got a 4runner lifted on 35's and want to get an Acura for my DD. My father has a 1992 Vigor, my mother has 1996 3.2TL, and I just love the cars. I'm not sure which car I'll end up with, I like the CL and TL for different reasons.
So here are my questions; Has anybody put the TSX/TL/RL A-spec wheels on a 01-03 CL or 99-03 TL? if so where can I find the pics? I've read that the OEM body kit for the TL is no longer available but cannot find a definite answer, is this true? Also are there any recalls that i should be aware of for either of the cars?
I've got more, just can't think of them at the moment-
Thanks for any help of advise you guys can give me-

I have the TSX rims on my '99 TL...yes there are recalls on the cars - most important is for the transmission, well not really a recall, but Acura did extend the warranty for 7 years or 100k miles for all 2nd gen TLs and CLs. there are a few other minor ones also. the body kit is hard to get now, but I believe you can from a few places or at the dealer

There is a recall on the transmissions and on seatbelt buckles (in some cars). Late 2003 models sometimes don't fall under this recall or warranty enhancement but they're usually taken care of anyway since it is a known issue.
The TL A-SPEC rims have been put on the 2nd gen before, yes - but I don't think it looks good. Search around and you can find the pics.

Like other stated, the only major problem is the transmission but Acura does fix it, 99% of the time under warranty.
Oem kit is a little harder to get but my suggestion is to not just limit yourself to OEM, there are other available like Wing West and maybe a ronjon kit. check the photo gallery for info on it, and also on the photo gallery for pix of A-spec rim on a tl.

Found the 2nd gen with a-spec wheels...
I think it looks pretty slick, I've also seen some pics with the Volk TE37, and those are pretty sweet themselves. I've mainly been looking at the OEM kit because i think it looks the best and is more subtle, but the wings west is nice too.
SO the tranny has been an issue, but the dealer will take care of it huh? is it only for S models?
