Hello my fellow TL owners! I'm glad to say that I am a TL owner now. I have been in the import scene for the past 10 years, and have owned a countless number of cars(97 accord ex, 92 accord lx, 91 crx si, 03 accord ex-l) but never a high end Acura like the TL. So I guess you can say i'm a newbie because i don't know that much about the TL. So the purpose of my post is to find out more info about this car. I know tha basic specs of course and did my homework on the car before i bought it but i want true answers from average joes just like myself. Any info would be great. Alright here comes the questions.

My car: 99 TL, Navigation, DVD screens, 77000 miles

1) Do i have to worry about my tranny going south? Will acura warranty the tranny even though i bought the car through a private seller?

2) Does the stock cd player play burned cds, because mine doesn't?

3) Anything i need to watch out for with the 99 model? I know you guys/girls have said the trannys in the 00-03 have problems but what about the 99'?

1) You should be included in the extended warranty from acura.
2) The cd player is terrible, it plays some cdr's but wont play others.
3)I've had my '99 for 2 years and 30k mi. w/ no problems.

Thanks blk_tl! So let me get this straight the cd player does read some cdr's, but doesn't on others? Wuts up with that!

So this extended warranty for the tranny, do i have to call up acura? How long does the extended warranty last for?
