New Receiver, Bose System?

Hey I have been reading a little bit around here and I have a question. If I install a new receiver in my car is it true that my Bose system will no longer work? Currently I have an Alpine 12 inch type R sub and an amp and the receiver I just bought is an Alpine CDE-9874. So if I install that will my Bose system still work? Thanks alot.

By receiver i assume you mean Radio/Headunit. If you install a new headunit your speakers will work just fine. The only thing that has to be custom wired is the stock sub amp but since you have a aftermarket sub and amp you wont car because you wont want teh stock sub hooked up anyway.
