I bought my 2003 Nighthawk Black Pearl TLP a couple of weeks ago. I have been looking at TLs for a couple of years but was not in a financial position to buy one. So far the TL has been everything I thought it would be.

I have a few questions:
1) Is there a way to reduce the tension on the seatbelts? When I unlatch the seatbelt it recoils quickly and bangs the column between the front and back door.
2) This is my first Black car, are they really that hard to keep the new car look?
3) I know Zaino is the recommended polish/wax on this board, but are there any alternatives that are recommended? I have used Mothers Carnuba on my other vehicles and have been satisfied.

Welcome, and congradulations on your new wheels.

1) just hold the seatbelt buckle as it retracts back into the B pillar. Otherwise if you let it snap back you'll find your B pillar full of dings.

2) I have dark blue. Dark colors always require more elbow grease and care. But it is worth it.

3) I also use Mother's Carnuba. It is good enough for me.
